Microbial Fuel Cells are Coming to Poughkeepsie Mini Maker Faire!

Microbiologist Brooke Jude, Assistant Professor of Biology and Director of the Citizen Science Program at Bard College, will lead this exhibit where attendees learn how to harness the power of bacteria growing in common soil to power LEDs, a digital clock, even a thermometer! Using some common (and recycled!) materials, attendees will help build a sustainable microbial fuel cell battery. How awesome is that?!!
